I am 23 years old and was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas. At the age of 10, I moved to Booneville, Arkansas where my parents still live. Prior to my junior year of high school, I was accepted into the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences (ASMS), a public residential high school in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Upon graduating from ASMS in 2001, I attended the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While attending the University of Tulsa, I developed an interest in artificial intelligence and linguistics. I graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2005 with a bachelors degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics. In the fall of 2005 I entered the artificial intelligence masters program at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. While at the University of Georgia I worked on the NED-2 decision support system for forested ecosystem management. I graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2007 with a masters degree in artificial intelligence. My thesis was entitled Baseball Prediction Using Ensemble Learning and involved predicting season statistics for batters in the major leagues. My long term career goal is to work for a company researching and implementing artificial intelligence techniques for real world applications.
